Jennifer begins to wonder whether her view of astrology is reasonable. Here is her view:
“I think astrology is a good guide to everyday living. Newspapers, magazines, radio and television treat it seriously. Many well-known, educated people use it to make decisions.”
a) You are required to help Jennifer to evaluate and write down the reasoning either to support her view. (15%)
b) Get the editorial page of your favourite newspaper* and list the issue, conclusion, and reasons given for each editorial. (15%)
Use the following format:

c) Then evaluate the editorial by answering the following questions. (20%)
i) Was the writer clear about the reasons given for the conclusion?
ii) Were there other reasons that could have been included in the argument?
iii) Did the writer express any understanding for an opposing viewpoint? If so, how? If not, you articulate an opposing viewpoint for the editorial?
iv) Were you convinced by the editorial? Why or Why not?

There is no right answer of Jennifer that doing so in reading astrology is reasonable. In my view of point, there might be the advantages and disadvantages in life, as astrology might predict in some way of how the person might respond, as if an example, of a someone who believes in astrology like Jennifer would do things follow by the astrology method, it might help to improve her by believing in herself that encourages her, but it might be a problem if there is not any methods of helping her solving the problem. Then this will cause Jennifer to fall, and it might even get worst that she doesn’t believe in herself of doing so. As Jennifer had say, many well-known , educated people use astrology to make decisions, it’s true that there, but people tend to use that method to get more encourage on doing so as they sometimes need support from friends or family. Human tend to believe in things when it really happens. In some way, it might be a thing that happens in some time of a sudden without any expectation. It the thing that they believe does not happen or be of what they had thought of then they would not believe in the astrology. Conclusion, believing in astrology might help someone doing decisions but it might be also be a disadvantage in doing so if you choose a wrong decisions. I believe many people might intend to believe in astrology as it is a daily life prophecy to communicate with each other. If believing in astrology will benefits Jennifer, then she can continue to believe in astrology as it maybe helps her to encourage herself and making some difficult decisions for her. In best way, better believe in yourself then believing in other things.
